We have recently been bombarded with requests to accept submissions. And we love it! If you have a story you would like to cover for Whoa Mag please tell us all about it!
~ Stories can be between 400-2,000 words long.
~Must be written about people who identify as female.
~Writers do not have to be women.
~Make these stories your own! We pride ourselves on completely original content. That means you can do some outside sourcing but must have a unique angle, quotes and photos for your piece.
~Writers are in charge of sending in high-quality photos to go with their stories. If you didn’t take the photograph you must obtain written permission from the photographer.
~ We accept personal essays (tell us about your awesome backpacking trip!), listacles (So long as they are thoughtful and awesome), profiles, destination pieces, photo essays and even poetry and wilderness-inspired art.
~You don’t have to be a professional writer. However, we will make grammar and spelling edits to your piece as necessary. Any major issues will be discussed. We are not about turning people down – we’ll talk through stories that aren’t quite ready yet!
We want to hear from ladies all over the world about their amazing adventures – don’t be afraid to speak up!
Send us a pitch at firstname.lastname@example.org including your topic, suggested length and style. We’ll get back to you asap. We can’t wait!
